Hello and welcome to JustAnswer!

If you have a coil continually failing with heat damage yet the engine controller was replaced then you most likely have a wiring issue. If the coil driver circuit shorts to ground it will cause the coil to overheat and fail. The first thing you'll want to do is check for a shorted driver circuit.

In some cases a dwell issue will cause coil failure. An inaccurate cam sensor or incorrect cam timing will cause issues like this in rare cases, but it's more likely to be a driver circuit issue.
