do you have any check engine light on if so what are the codes

Expert:  cloe0626 replied 1 year ago.

there is indeed an ignition coil on you r vehicle

The ignition coil on 1996-98 MPV models is an integral component of the distributor and cannot be serviced separately. If service is required the distributor must be replaced.

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  2. Disconnect the distributor lead and wiring harness.
  3. Remove the 2 ignition coil mounting bracket bolts.
  4. Remove the ignition coil from the vehicle.
  5. Install in reverse order.
