I have a 2011 Mazda 6 and my ignition switch reads the key

Customer Question

I have a 2011 Mazda 6 and my ignition switch reads the key still being in place even after the key has been removed and the warning chime is ringing. While in this defective state the key FOB will not operate. Juggling the key will make it work sometimes. I have tried different keys with no suggest. Can I lubricate the lock, will this help and what should I use?

yes just use electrical grease to lube the cylinder but if that dose not work you will need to replace the ignition switch
