Customer Question

I hit a deer on Monday, August 31 this year, messed up the passenger side deadlight & marker light, the following Thurs, on the way to work, the Mazda overheated, filled it back up with water, on the way home it overheated to the extent that I had to park it before reaching home. Had a roll-back bring it home on Fri. Filled the system with water, took it for a test drive, overheated again. Have checked the system, no radiator leeks, no hose leaks, the water pump was replaces a year ago, no leaks there. The fan comes on when it should. My next repair is to replace the thermostat, when it got to operating temp., turned on the heater, not blowing warm air, could this be the issue, that the thermostat is not working as it should, thought that if a thermostat was stuck closed that when the heat in the car was turned on, you would have heat & if stuck open, you would not have ay heat but not cause the car to overheat. Correct me in my misunderstanding & could you offer a repair, without me having to haul it to a repair shop
