Mazda CX-7 Diesel sports: 2010 Diesel Mazda CX7 has flashing

Customer Question

2010 Diesel Mazda CX7 has flashing DPF light for several weeks. It had a service and oil change. No codes come up when checked by computer code checker. Power is not derating. I regularly drive on the highway - I turn onto the highway to get to town at least 10-15mins away. It has had the Moley deisel additive and has several 2 hr long drives well over 2000 RPM. Still flashing. Could it be sensor? I have it booked in to local Mazda dealers, but I am afraid of being over-charged for any work done.

Hi there,
Could be oil life reset was not carried out, maybe you serviced early?
Or there is a problem.
I would not be adding anything to the tank of a late model diesel.
If Mazda asks what fuel, don't mention the additive, if you want warranty.
Mazda also needs to look at the DPF pressure sensor and EGT data, could be a mismatch going on there.
Hope this helps.
