Mazda B4000 4x2: my seatbelt receptacle will not let the belt

This answer was rated:

my seatbelt receptacle will not let the belt stay in place. I stick a knife in to lift the release button. then it will clip in. I think the spring in the release clip is worn out. 1997 B4000 SE xtra cab
Hi Sir or Madam! Let me put the Zoom Zoom back in your Mazda!

It sounds like you are on the right track. You shouldn't have to monkey around with the seat belt to get it to latch. At this point I wouldn't try any type of repair for fear that it wouldn't stay latch in an accident.

Here are some places to get a replacement seatbelt:
Shipman Auto Parts USA-MN(Brainerd) 1-800-892-477 $25.00MSI Auto Parts USA-AK(Fairbanks) 1-800-451-7279
