Let x be the number of 12 ounce soda cups, y be the number of 16 ounce soda cups and z be the number of 20 ounce soda cups.

Number of soda cups sold are 18.

The equation will be

x + y + z = 18

The prices of the small,medium,and large sodas were \$1,\$2,and \$3 respectively. and total revenue is \$48.

equation will be

1*x + 2*y + 3*z = 48

x + 2y + 3z = 48

The system of equations will be

x + y + z = 18

x + 2y + 3z = 48

x + y + z = 18------------------(i)

x + 2y + 3z = 48-------------(ii)

subtract equation (i) from (ii), we will get

y + 2z = 30

y = -2z + 30

now, put it in equation (i)

x + y + z = 18

x + (-2z+30)+z =18

x -z + 30 = 18

x = 18+z-30

x = z - 12

x = z -12, y = -2z+30, z = z
