Ok, I think someone made some errors when they wrote this test. . .

  • For #2 there are three correct answers - 0.123123, and 0.777777, and 4.252525 are ALL repeating decimals so I am not sure if you can put more than one answer? If you can only select one, I would probably go with 0.777777 in case your instructor is looking for the same digit repeating.
  • For #3, 233/100 is the correct answer so I guess you can pick B or C (or put both)?
  • For #12, both C and D are correct - both are repeating decimals. If you can only select one answer, I would go with D in case your instructor wants a true decimal without a whole number, but both are technically repeating decimals.
  • For #19, there are three correct answers again: A, B, and D all result in a repeating decimal. 3/7 = 0.428571428571 (Pattern repeats), 1/9 = 0.1111111111, and 5/11 = 0.454545454545. In case your instructor is looking for which one results in one digit repeating over and over again.

I hope this has been helpful. As I said, I think there are errors in the writing of the test itself. If you get something marked wrong that is actually correct, make sure you plead your case! :) Sarah
