I have a xantrex xm1000 and there is an eo5 code when i power it on. with an ol light. there is no load attached.

I am connected to a 100ah, 12vdc battery reading 12.6 vdc. It is several years old and i really want to fix it. any ideas?

I have extensive experience with xantrex inverters and others. I just picked this up and the owner said it was running well., I believe him as all the other equipment was in fine condition. If i was trouble shooting, I would probably go for the GFI first and check that out. But i certainly would like to hear of your opinion. I am well versed in electronic repair.
