Hi, thank you for contacting JustAnswer.com. My name is Russell. I will do my best to provide the right answer to your question. Try to find something in common between the non-Garmin device and the GPS 10, first of all.Is the GPS 10's interface NMEA 0184? then find either an NMEA port on your non-Garmin device, or else get an adapter to NMEA 0184 (from whatever NMEA, SeaTalk, etc. port you have.)That's the hardware connection only. The software connection is another matter. Some non-Garmin devices just will not work with your GPS 10. Compatibilities are actually somewhat limited. If you let me know what non-Garmin device make and model you have, I could be more specific in my advice. Let me know. Thanks.
