I'm getting error code 1 on my 5208 chartplotter I have 2 units do I need to connect the 2 together with a network cable or is all shared thru nmea backbone

Hi, thank you for contacting My name is***** will do my best to provide the right answer to your question. If that error code 1 were a radar error code, it would mean that the heater has a problem in your radar antenna (as opposed to the magnetron or the rotation). You can hook units together with network cable, yes, and it is faster that way. They can be shared through NMEA backbone also.
