I think it's because the account I use most often is set up as a POP account on my MacBook, but as Advanced IMAP settings on the other three. Currently, I cannot send an email (through OUT Box, but just ignited by hitting 'SEND' as per normal routine), and I cannot see how to make the change, as the menu box (sorry, terminally challenged here, not certain of its correct descriptor), on my desktop computer is different to that on my MacBook.
