I have changed my email address with apple. However, when I open itunes it still has my old email address and the password ***** box blinks exceptionally fast. How do I change my email address in itunes ?

So far all I have done is clicked on forgot password ***** apple sent me an email to complete the password ***** at that time I entered my new email address but when I open itunes it still has my old email address. The change I made with apple does not reflect the change in itunes

This has been a very long wait. If you do not respond in the next 2 minutes I have to assume this isn't working and I will hang up and cancel my subscription.
