I don't use a password ***** my computer is asking for a pw - insisting - for me to back up to a new hard drive. what should I do?

Technician's Assistant: When did you last change your password ***** Apple ID?

I don't remember - a few months ago when I upgraded to high sierra

Technician's Assistant: Did you try resetting through Apple's online account reset tool?

How do I do that? won't they ask for a pw?

Technician's Assistant: The Mac Technician will be able to walk you through that. Anything else you want the Mac Expert to know before I connect you?

Nope - that should do it

What Customers are Saying:

Hi John, Thank you for your expertise and, more important, for your kindness because they make me, almost, look forward to my next computer problem. After the next problem comes, I'll be delighted to correspond again with you. I'm told that I excel at programing. But system administration has never been one of my talents. So it's great to have an expert to rely on when the computer decides to stump me. God bless, Bill
