What happens when you download it? Any errors?

Hello? The link you sent me is still trying to download. I copied it and tried to open it in safari and that did not work either. I am concerned that I have paid money for this.

It is a direct link. That means when you click on the link, it will download the file directly and it may not any website. Is your internet fast enough?

That is a big download, so it will take a lot of time if your internet is slow. So you need to let the download complete. Check Downloads button and you will see the progress. How much time is it showing there?

One hour and 10 minutes

Make sure you didn't start multiple times. Cancel all others if there are duplicate downloads.

Then let it complete. Let me know the results please

The link downloaded completely but when I try to open it I get the same error message

After downloading the file, did you open the file and install it?

I did. I did the full installation. I tried to start it from Launchpad and got the same error message again

Are you able to open Power Point or Excel?

Close Word. Then hold down Option key on your keyboard, click on Go menu and select Library. This will take you to the library folder of your home folder. Open Preferences folder and trash the file 'com.microsoft.Word.plist'.

Then close it. Hold down Option key on your keyboard, click on Go menu and select Library. This will take you to the library folder of your home folder. Open Preferences folder and this time, trash the Microsoft folder.

Go back, then open Application Support folder and trash Microsoft folder

Open Containers folder and trash com.microsoft.Word folder.

Open Word. Does it open now?

Ok now I am a moron. What do you mean, Go menu?

That is a menu at the top bar and you will only when you are in any Finder window

I trashed the com.microsoft.Word.plist file but when I went back in, I could not find a Microsoft file. What is it's fun name? Sorry, I am not usually this clueless but it is very late at night for me

Not "fun" name - file name

If you don't see specific file or folder, ignore it.

Microsoft is folder not file. If you don't see it, then ignore it

Make sure you open Containers folder in Library and trash the folder com.Microsoft.word folder

Open Applications folder and delete the Word app. Then can you reinstall it, using the downloaded file from yesterday.

Follow the steps below to start secure remote support session.
