I had help setting up my new IPad. And the person got me to use the finger I’d. When I go to iTunes to download an app. It only allows me to use this, however it does not work.. how can I change this feature and use my numerical passcode

Open Settings, tap Touch Id and Passcode. Turn off Touch ID option under iTunes or App Store purchases. This will let you use password. You can also add more finger prints there also which will work.
