Say I have 1880 unread messages but I can’t see any of them so I can’t delete them. Help

You can mark all messages as "Read".

  1. Open Mail app,
  2. Tap on the “Edit” button in the corner.
  3. Now tap on the “Mark All” text
  4. Choose “Mark as Read” to instantly mark all mail as read.

If you just want to see the Unread emails, then tap the Mailbox name at the top left. Tap Edit button and enable the "unread" option. Then tap Done. Then tap the Unread mailbox to see those emails. Then you can delete them.

Please let me know if that didn't work, so I will continue to help you until we fix the problem
