I have purchased a...

I have purchased a new Mac and downloaded my files from my external back up drive. Everything seems to be working except my mail account. I have a hotmail account which downloads as mail on my laptop and iPhone, but it will not access it on my new Mac. It keeps asking for a password ***** rejects my password. I changed my password ***** outlook, the other 2 devices work OK with the new password, but the Mac won't accept the password ***** will not download my mail. How can I sort this out?

Technician's Assistant: Are you logged into your Hotmail account on any other devices?

Indirectly through my mail on my laptop and phone. I am not logged on to outlook.

I have already reset the password ***** morning, via outlook
