I tried to upgrade my osx with High Sierra and ran into loads of problems....my internal hard drive is OWC 1tb hard drive and has been great up to now, however I am unable to upgrade to high sierra. I was then told that I need to replace the disk that came with my MacPro (late 2013) which now also is showing a firmware issue and has even lost its identity....it shows as a Media type Generic and not a ssd drive. I put the original back into my mac and its fan was going crazy....and would not turn on. I then put back the OWC disk and securely formatted it.
