When signing on to...

When signing on to my IPad email I often get an error screen showing password ***** for Exchange Account. I have 2 email addresses on Shaw.ca. No other Apple devices. If I delete the Exchange Account will I lose my contacts?

Technician's Assistant: When did you last change your password ***** Apple ID?

I find the only good way to get rid of the error is to change my email password ***** the Shaw site. I’ve never changed my Apple password

I haven't got any answers yet. Main question is do I actually need Exchange to access my e-mail on the Ipad? My concern is if I delete the Exchange account on the Ipad I may lose my Contacts.

You will only lose the contacts in your exchange account. Do you still have access to that account?

It shows on my list of accounts, showing Mail, Contacts, Calendars and Reminders ticked open. I've never actually tried to access Exchange for anything.
