I'm trying to figure out some basic InDesign issues. i don't really understand the program very well, but I'm needing to assemble a project

Curious thing - After I don't know how many years of using and fixing macs, etc, I have an issue that I have never seen before and can't figure out... When I try to log in after the machine has been asleep for a while, it comes up with the screen to enter my password, and every time I do, it does the shaky screen thing as if I typed the wrong password... If I open the MBP and try there, the first time this happened, it worked fine on the actual MPB keyboard. The second time, that didn't work and I had to force shutdown and restart.
