I have reset my...

I have reset my apple ID and my password, but when I try to purchase an app, it still says Apple ID password ***** an old email address.

Technician's Assistant: When did you last change your password ***** Apple ID?

Today, yesterday, have reset twice, and also looked in settings on phone to update my apple ID, but always when trying to download an app, the old email address comes up and then will not accept password

Technician's Assistant: Did you try resetting through Apple's online account reset tool?

Resetting the Apple ID password ***** not change the fact that you are still signed in with the old account. You need to sign out of that account on your device.
