I need assistance:...

I need assistance: 1.. in order to update my software iOS 11.2.1 my "passcode" is required. I cannot remember it and do not know how to retrieve or reestablish it. 2. what is my passcode for "settings" 3. I attempted to purchase books thru "App Store" and thought I succeded (my bank statement said so) but can't find them on my iPad. I can't remember my app store password ***** 4. How do I reduce the "size" of pictures to economize my download/upload costs?
