Technician's Assistant: How do you usually access your email? On a phone or tablet, or through a web browser?

Through Mail whether on iMac, iPhone or ipad

Technician's Assistant: What troubleshooting have you tried?

Nothing of note. just restarted

It started, I noticed, when I was trying to get an email from apple. I am getting other emails

I have all apple products - iMac, iPhone and iPad.
I see exclamation inside a triangle - all are black on Inbox for iMac Mail.
I believe there are some emails I am not getting. Email from Apple on repair did not come through until l hit triangle and responded. Beyond that I do not know what I am missing.
I am getting a lot of emails and able to send them

The ! in mail means it cannot send or receive or both.
