How do I download photos from iPhoto to my desktop?

I tried to drag photo out of iPhoto onto desktop but it just keeps returning to iPhoto

The drag and drop from Photos to desktop should've worked. Hold down Command key and then drag and drop to desktop or to other location. Does it copy there ?

If not, then try this. Select all the photos you would like to export, then click on File menu and select Export or Share. Does it allow you to export that way ?

Please let me know if that didn't work, so I will continue to help you until we fix the problem

Thank you for helping me with my question. I agreed to a one time $5 request not the $40 per year. Please cancel the $35 charge to my credit card and notify me that this has been done. I will contact my credit card company to contest the $35 if I do not hear back.
