Thank you

Shut down your Mac.

Find Command (⌘), Option, P, and R on your keyboard.

Turn on your Mac.

Press and hold the Command-Option-P-R keys immediately after you hear the startup sound.

Hold these keys until the computer restarts and you hear the startup sound for a second time.

Release the keys.

Then tell me how it then connects please

Did as suggested. No improvement. Rebooted, confirmed on same network. Hit option key in monitorpreferences No improvement. Bought app Mirror for Samsung TV . app works- mirrors iMac screen on Samsung TV but has known 3 second delay so I still want to
Mac Support Specialist: Richard, Apple Software Engineer replied 8 months ago

ok, the next cause can be a faulty cable, can you try a different cable and tell me if that then works please.

If you do not have a cable try it on a different Mac

Let me know the results please

What Customers are Saying:

Hi John, Thank you for your expertise and, more important, for your kindness because they make me, almost, look forward to my next computer problem. After the next problem comes, I'll be delighted to correspond again with you. I'm told that I excel at programing. But system administration has never been one of my talents. So it's great to have an expert to rely on when the computer decides to stump me. God bless, Bill
