My Laptop Pro is...

My Laptop Pro is running dramtically slow on the internet. I doubt it's the modem, that works fine with my iMac and with our TV box. Safari Browser opens quickly, but loads pages super slow, often can't.

Technician's Assistant: How much experience do you have with this particular machine?

Bought it new 2011, has always run well. Other programs have no issues, just the internet.

No

Technician's Assistant: What troubleshooting have you tried?

A Mac technician had one time before recommended malwarebytes to me and I tried to download that via the Laptop, but it won't even download. I have cleaned the history, but am uncertain about cleaning cache, felt I would try asking you.

Can you do the following please

From your Safari menu bar click Safari > Preferences then select the Advanced tab.

Select: Show Develop menu in menu bar

Now from the menu bar click Develop > Empty Caches

Once done, tell me how it then performs please
