Good evening I am having problem with my iPhone 7 I can not get it to shut down or open for me
JA: What OS X (Operating System, e.g. Sierra, El Capitan, Yosemite, etc.) or iOS are you running?
Customer: I am sorry I do not know
JA: Have you installed any updates recently?
Customer: No just update some of my apps
JA: What troubleshooting have you tried?
Customer: I tried shutting down using the on off button and volume down
JA: Anything else you want the Mac Expert to know before I connect you?
Customer: No it won't let me shut it off

Disconnect charger if its connected to the Iphone.

Press and hold down power button on the I-phone for 40 seconds and do not release the button before that.

I-phone must be shut down now. Wait for few mins and then power it back on.
