Trying to download latest version of itunes, windows 7 pro,

JA: What Operating System (OS) are you running on your computer or device?
Customer: windows 7 pro
JA: When did you last update your iTunes?
Customer: I worked with the version on my Dell laptop 9 on 7/9. Not sure what the itunes version was
JA: Anything else you want the software expert to know before I connect you?
Customer: apple tech deleted the old version for some reason, can what I had be recoverd?

Why and when did they delete your iTunes on your computer?

Did they delete the account or just the app?

Can you still log into itunes with your account?

What is happening that you cannot download the new version?

They deleted the app Thursday evening. Trying to load the new version gets an error message

  1. Right-click the Network or icon in the notification area, and then select Troubleshoot problems.
  2. Follow the steps in the wizard to diagnose and resolve your network problems.
  3. Run Windows Update again.
  4. Reboot pc and try again. If unsuccessful use the method below.

Try that for me.

Then open up your cmd in your search bar, right click on it and run as admin.

type in sfc /scannow *there is one space between sfc and /scannow.

Let it run, reboot your pc and try again.

That is the beginning of troubleshooting for that error.
