I purchased a new I phone at Walmart. I have Straight talk

I purchased a new I phone at Walmart. I have Straight talk as my phone service for my old I phone. Last night Straight talk tech was unable to change over my service
JA: What OS X (Operating System, e.g. Sierra, El Capitan, Yosemite, etc.) or iOS are you running?
Customer: My Apple ID or password ***** incorrect,or I cant remember them
JA: Have you installed any updates recently?
Customer: No updates recently
JA: What troubleshooting have you tried?
Customer: I tried to reset the password
JA: Anything else you want the Mac expert to know before I connect you?
Customer: I found a "page" that allowed me to be in a "recovery" mode.....which they said may take a couple of days??
