Let it complete. Then turn off Time Machine and eject it. Then connect it to your new Mac and use Migration Assistant

1 - Go to App Store > Purchased and download Keynote and stuffs from there. They should be available under Purchased

3- You have to login to the account with all your files and then delete the other one from System Preferences > Users & Groups. When you login to the one with all your files, the one you can delete will be the second one in Users & Groups.

Migration Assistant will transfer everything to the new Mac, just like cloning the old one to new one. But this won't affect the performance of the new Mac though.

You just need to get rid of unwanted and old applications manually.

You probably purchased the latest Office suite i.e 2016 version, which is good for another 5 years or so without any issues.

Didn't you delete the account from System Preferences > Users & Groups ? When you do that, it will ask you whether you want to keep or delete home folder. Just select delete and that should do it.
