My Ipad says to re-enter my password for my general email

My Ipad says to re-enter my password ***** my general email account but doesn't allow me to type in my password. What do I do?
JA: Have you contacted anyone about your account?
Customer: No but I checked my account settings and they seemed to be correct.
JA: Have you installed any updates recently?
Customer: Yes - 2 factor authenication
JA: What troubleshooting have you tried?
Customer: I have checked my account info. The message says to re-enter my google password ***** my gmail account in settings. When I go to settings there ia a section that says re-enter password. It does not open when I swipe it nor bring up the keyboard. The next section with my gmail account address has an arrow at the end. It will not swipe either. How do I re-enter my password?

I'm sorry about the issue. Is your gmail email address currently working at the website?

Does this issue still occur even if you restart the iPad?

Besides the iPad, do you also have a Windows or Mac computer? If yes, is your email currently working on your computer?
