I can't send emails from my Apple Ipad. I can receive emails but can't send.
JA: Just to clarify, what email service provider are you using?
Customer: Comcast.net
JA: Have you installed any updates recently?
Customer: Possibly, but can't say for sure.
JA: What troubleshooting have you tried?
Customer: none.
JA: Anything else you want the Mac expert to know before I connect you?
Customer: I thought it might have something to do with Comcast making me change my password, so I keyed in the new password ***** the settings screen, but I still can't send. Could it have to do with the ports?

what you want to do is just remove the account from the ipad

then put it back in with the new settings.

that should fix the whole thing

  1. Open the Settings app and choose “Mail, Contacts, Calendars”
  2. Under the “Accounts” section tap on the account you wish to delete
  3. Confirm the email address / account is accurate, then tap the large red “Delete Account” button, and confirm when again when asked to delete the account

then settings and mail contacts calendars

under accounts

hit add account

put the account back in again with the address and password.
