Customer Question

My iPad is disabled. I was told I can back it up using my iMac but it asks me to type in my 4-digit code and I can't do that on the iPad because it is disabled.
JA: How much experience do you have with this particular machine?
Customer: which machine? I have experience with the iPad and the iMac.
JA: Have you installed any updates recently?
Customer: yes
JA: What troubleshooting have you tried?
Customer: I tried turning the iPad on and off several times. Also tried connected to iTunes but it asks me to type in y security code and I can't access the screen to do that.
JA: Anything else you want the Mac expert to know before I connect you?
Customer: I went to Best Buy and they told me I could fix this at home by backing up my data to iCloud and restoring the I pad. Id like to do this.
