JA: What OS X (Operating System, e.g. Sierra, El Capitan, Yosemite, etc.) or iOS are you runninng?
Customer: I am not sure what you mean I am 60 yrs old and not com savvy
JA: Have you installed any updates recently?
Customer: Today
JA: What troubleshooting have you tried?
Customer: I have put my old pass code in and the new one also and tried finger print and nothing works
JA: Anything else you want the Mac expert to know before I connect you?
Customer: I have no other phone and my family are going to worry

On your iPhone, please press and hold both the Power (On / Off) button and the Home button (which is located right below the screen) together for at least 10 seconds, until the Apple logo appears, then wait a bit, then let me know exactly what happens when you enter your passcode.

2, then there, sign in your Apple ID account

3, then click on option All Devices at the top

4, then click on your iPhone device if shown

5, then does it find the current location of your iPhone?

Were you able to do the steps above? If yes, can you select the option Erase iPhone, and click on Erase to confirm for now. Once that is done, the iPhone will let you set it up again. If it does not work, I will provide another solution.
