I have a reasonably new macbook air...it suddenly booted in

Customer Question

hello i have a reasonably new macbook air...it suddenly booted in safe mode and wont accept my password ***** log in. I have tried to tap the shift keys to unstick them but they dont really feel stuck anyway.. they both feel normal.
JA: Just to clarify, how old is your MacBook Air and what operating system are you running?
Customer: its only a few months old i quite sure it El capitan
JA: Have you installed any updates recently?
Customer: no
JA: What troubleshooting have you tried?
Customer: just trying to see if the shift keys are stuck because that seems ot me the only reason it would boot up in safe mode...the keys feel ok but who knows.
JA: Anything else you want the Mac expert to know before I connect you?
Customer: not really

Hi there and welcome

Can you do the following please

Shut down your Mac.
Find Command (⌘), Option, P, and R on your keyboard.
Turn on your Mac.
Press and hold the Command-Option-P-R keys immediately after you hear the startup sound.
Hold these keys until the computer restarts and you hear the startup sound for a second time.
Release the keys.

Then tell me if it starts correctly.
