I keep getting the message that iphoto cannot connect to my iphone unless it is unlocked when I plug in my phone to my macbook, but my phone is unlocked. what can i do to fix this so i csndownload my photos and videos to my macbook?
JA: Just to clarify, how old is your MacBook and what operating system are you running?
Customer: ummmmm i think its like 6 years old and what do you mean by operating system?
JA: Have you installed any updates recently?
Customer: as far as i know all updates are done
JA: What troubleshooting have you tried?

Try these steps please.

Disconnect the iPhone, > Hold the home button and the power button down for about 20 seconds or until the Apple logo appears on the screen, then release both buttons.

After it reboots, open your iPhone home screen.
-- Connect USB cord to iPhone
-- Click "Trust"
-- Resume syncing

I have done this and it still says when I try to sync with iPhoto that the phone has to be unlocked which it already is
