Customer Question

Hi Pearl. The sound on my imac stopped working...
JA: How much experience do you have with this particular machine?
Customer: I'v had it for quite a few years but I'm not very savvy with the technical stuff!
JA: Have you installed any updates recently?
Customer: No. Not on here - and am way behind in software I think... I did have my ipad plugged into it charging and it may have done an update...
JA: What troubleshooting have you tried?
Customer: I've been into preferences and internal speakers is selected...
JA: Anything else you want the Mac expert to know before I connect you?
Customer: I read a previous help thingy on here that plugged in a headset to trick it but I don't have one of those.
