I accidentally erased my email icon and now it's not letting

me put in my user...
I accidentally erased my email icon and now it's not letting me put in my user name and password
JA: When did you last reset your username and password?
Customer: I tried it several times before. I see the icon but it is not accepting my user name and password
JA: Have you installed any updates recently?
Customer: I didn't know. Would you be able to assist me remotely. I'm a senior and don't really know what I'm doing
JA: What troubleshooting have you tried?
Customer: I don't remember I think I might have tried whatever popped up
JA: Anything else you want the Mac expert to know before I connect you?
