JA: What OS X (Operating System, e.g. Sierra, El Capitan, Yosemite, etc.) or iOS are you runninng?

JA: Have you installed any updates recently?
Customer: yes the one that came yesterday dont remember its name
JA: What troubleshooting have you tried?
Customer: I mean I cant really do anything it flashes all the time when I go into my email

Can you tell me how you are accessing your email? are you using a web browser? (if so, which one)

or are you clicking on the email client icon on the mac itself that you added email to already?

What does your email end in, @gmail, outlook, yahoo etc?

Try this to start please. I take it you are using 10.12.1 Sierra ? Shut down and force close if necessary.

Shut down your Mac.
Locate the following keys on the keyboard: Command (⌘), Option, P, and R.
Turn on your Mac.
Press and hold the Command-Option-P-R keys immediately after you hear the startup sound.
Hold these keys until the computer restarts and you hear the startup sound for a second time.
Release the keys.

Then,

Open your finder ( magnifying glass ) type in disk utility, and launch the disk utility application.

On the left side of the disk utility window, click your mac hd, then at the lower right hand side, click repair permissions .

Then open your email and tell me what happens.

It says I have to repair w first aid during recovery mode. It found a corrupted file

Were you able to get to the first aid?

To start your mac in safe mode, start with the mac turned off. Press power then *immediately* press and hold the left shift key on the keyboard. Keep holding it till you hear the startup chime, then release. That should start you in safe mode.

Then follow that guide i sent and tell me if you can get to first aid options and use them?

I managed to manually remove the outbox so its not flashing anymore until I compose a new one. Dunno what this is

Okay,

How? From in the program or did you take out something like this; ~/Library/Mail/V3/Mailboxes

Delete the mailbox “Outbox.mbox” and reopen Mail.

Can you click on the apple sign, help about mac and tell me your version and everything you see there?

Then try this if that doesnt help:

1. Deleting the email account in preferences, and create a new account to see if that fixes the issue.
2. Go to Preference and select Accounts > select Account Information > find SMTP Server > select option "edit STMP server list" > reset all the settings in the list.
3. Uncheck mail extensions at Mail Menu > Preferences > select Extensions.
