Safari cannot connect to internet as of today.
JA: What OS X (Operating System, e.g. Sierra, El Capitan, Yosemite, etc.) or iOS are you runninng?
Customer: OS X version 10.8.5
JA: Have you installed any updates recently?
Customer: Not sure. Some automatic and not sure about any others.
JA: What troubleshooting have you tried?
Customer: NOne
JA: Anything else you want the Mac expert to know before I connect you?

Try these steps please.

  1. Click on "Safari" from the menu bar along the top of the screen.
  2. Select "Preferences..."
  3. Select the "Privacy" tab along the top of the new window.
  4. Click the "Remove All Website Data..." button.
  5. Click the "Remove Now" button when prompted.
  6. Restart your browser.
  7. Note: Ensure the browser is fully closed before restarting. This can be done by selecting "Quit Safari" from the "Safari" drop-down menu along the top menu bar, by right-clicking the icon in the dock and selecting "Quit", or by using keyboard shortcut "command+Q"
