JA: What OS X (Operating System, e.g. Sierra, El Capitan, Yosemite, etc.) or iOS are you runninng?

JA: Have you installed any updates recently?
Customer: thats what i was trying to do when the screen froze
JA: What troubleshooting have you tried?
