My 10 month old MacBook Pro won't power up this morning.

Customer Question

Hi Pearl. I'm Dan. My 10 month old MacBook Pro won't power up this morning.
JA: Just to clarify, how old is your MacBook Pro and what operating system are you running?
Customer: Like I said, 10 months old. Under warranty. El Capitan. Also it is fully charged. Charger shows green light.
JA: Have you installed any updates recently?
Customer: iTunes.
JA: What troubleshooting have you tried?
Customer: None, since it won't power up.
JA: Anything else you want the Mac expert to know before I connect you?
Customer: At the beach. It has been inside all the time, but the pad feels sandy when pressed.

Hi there and welcome

Can you do the following please

Locate the following keys on the keyboard: Command (⌘), Option, P, and R.
Turn on your Mac.
Press and hold the Command-Option-P-R keys immediately after you hear the startup sound.
Hold these keys until the computer restarts and you hear the startup sound for a second time.
Release the keys.

Tell me if it then starts please
