The mouse is stuck in the upper left corner
JA: What OS X (Operating System, e.g. Sierra, El Capitan, Yosemite, etc.) or iOS are you runninng?
Customer: Lion I think
JA: Have you installed any updates recently?
Customer: Yes
JA: What troubleshooting have you tried?
Customer: It wouldn't let me press anything so I reset it and now I'm stuck on the select a language screen because the mouse won't move and also the fan is running contunuosly
JA: Anything else you want the Mac expert to know before I connect you?

  1. Shut down your Mac.
  2. Locate the following keys on the keyboard: Command (⌘), Option, P, and R.
  3. Turn on your Mac.
  4. Press and hold the Command-Option-P-R keys immediately after you hear the startup sound.
  5. Hold these keys until the computer restarts and you hear the startup sound for a second time.
  6. Release the keys.
