Customer Question

Hi - slow mac 13" early 2011 mack book - just bought on ebay - have tried most diagnostics - now trying command R - which gets stuck*****through the grey loading bar - tried Option + Command + P + R - which gets stuck half way through. Hard drive 400GB free - Ram 4Gb free - any ideas?
JA: Just to clarify, what's the model of your Mac, and what operating system are you running?
Customer: Mac book Pro early 2011 - started off with snow leopard from an install disc which ran slowly - so thought I would install El Capitan - since then very slow cursor the machine is ten seconds at least behind inputs
JA: Have you installed any updates recently?
Customer: Well I guess - just what it recommended to update
JA: What troubleshooting have you tried?
Customer: Onyx - which says re boot with command R. Etre - which just said poor performance - everything else was fine. Clean my mac 3 free version
JA: Anything else you want the Mac expert to know before I connect you?
