Do you have the latest version of iTunes installed on your computer? Is it on a Mac or a PC?

Customer: replied 11 months ago.
Mac-i believe latest version.
Expert:  David replied 11 months ago.

Ok, next thing is to check if the music in iTunes on the iMac plays Ok, or does the same thing as the iPod.

Can you try playing back some of the music in your iTunes. Does it play back ok?

Customer: replied 11 months ago.
i am at work and do not have the itunes on my office computer.
Expert:  David replied 11 months ago.

Ok, the rest of the troubleshooting we need to do requires iTunes.

When do you think you can be next to your computer with iTunes and the iPod and continue troubleshooting?

Customer: replied 11 months ago.
maybe tomorrow.
