This problem came due to recent security updates installed by apple. But this is happening only with the users who are having 3.28.1 version installed on their machine.

This is how you will have to use it as some mac book does not have build in ethernet.

I got you. Give me more details of your iMac, I will see if without this adaptor ethernet can be used. As I said, some machines doesn't have in built ethernet enabled .

. Restart your computer with Command + R . Follow console and reinstall OS (without HD Clear)
