I have an external optical drive (SuperDrive) on my Mac

Customer Question

I have an external optical drive (SuperDrive) on my Mac Mini. I haven’t used it in a long time like probably a year. Today when I was trying to install a program on my Mac Mini from the SuperDrive, it wouldn’t work. Since I haven’t used the SuperDrive in a long time, I forgot how to use it. Can you instruct me how to eject the CD or how to install a program?

Hi there and welcome

To use it, connect it to the Mac, then open Finder.

Once open, you should see the drive on the left, click it and you can access the files on the disk this way

Let me know how you go please.
