I am using Quark on a Mac Mini. Lately I cannot flow pics into projects. I kept getting message "Filename contains unsupported characters. Modify the system language or characters in the filename and try again. [338]"
Nothing much seems to help

There might be several causes for this error. Try the following as a corrective:

  1. Go to System Preferences
  2. go to Language & Region
  3. click on + Icon
  4. scroll down
  5. change the System Language to “US English
  6. restart your computer
  7. then try Quark again (-what version do you have?) and see if importing of a random JPEG without special character works OK.
