Customer Question

Having lost the Internet connection 3 times while trying to download Windows 64 bit ISO, I've been advised to connect my MacBook Air directly to my router, i.e. a wired, as opposed to wireless, connection. Is there some 'adaptor' which I can use to make such a connection?

Hi and Welcome. My Name is ***** ***** I look forward to assisting you today with your question.

As you already know there is no ethernet port on Macbook Air. So you need to get the USB to Ethernet adapter. You can buy it from here --> http://www.apple.com/shop/product/MC704LL/A/apple-usb-ethernet-adapter

I doubt the ethernet makes any difference because it could be an internet issues. So even if it is on Ethernet, it may fail. Are you downloading it using Safari ?

You should try downloading Windows ISO from different browser like Chrome or Firefox before buying the Ethernet adapter.

Download Chrome --> https://www.google.com/chrome/

Download Firefox --> https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/new/

Try the download in either Chrome or Firefox. Chrome and Firefox are browsers like Safari. You can download them from the above websites. Open them and download Windows using it.

If you still have any difficulty, then please let me know and we will try a download manager which will allow you to resume interrupted downloads. Let me know how it went out.
